BRIEF PROFILE OF DR. SUMIT MITTAL
Dr. Sumit Mittal is having more than 25 years of teaching, research and administrative experience. He has done his Masters and Doctorate from Department of Computer Science & Applications, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He has more than 65 publications to his credit in various National/International Journals and Conferences. His research area includes Cloud Computing, Computer Architecture, Wireless Communication and Distributed Environments. He has also published five patents and three copyrights. He has guided eight Ph.D scholars and presently five scholars registered with him. He has successfully organized number of national and international conferences/seminars/workshops.
Currently, working as Registrar at Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University), Mullana and Principal, Institute of Computer Applications at Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University), Mullana, Ambala, Haryana from 13.08.1999.
He is a Member Secretary of various academic bodies of M.M. (Deemed to be University), Mullana such as Executive Council, Academic Council and Planning & Monitoring Board. He is a Nodal Officer for National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) since 2017. He is a Chairman, RAC and Board of Studies of MCA, M.M. (Deemed to be University), Mullana. He is also coordinating the data submission process for NAAC, AQAR, AISHE, Times Higher Education (THE) World ranking, QS Star rating, QS igauge, QS World ranking of MM(DU), etc.
He is a Life member of Computer Society of India, Sr. member of Universal Association of Computer and Electronics Engineers (UACEE), USA, member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG), Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering (ICST), Belgium.
He has also written study material for Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra on Database Systems and Oracle for MCA and Software Quality Assurance for M.Sc. Computer Science (S/w). He is a reviewer and Editorial Manager of many national and international conferences. He has also chaired number of sessions in International and National Conferences.
