The diagnosis of various diseases at the initial stages of development plays a very important role in being cured. We, M.M. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research are committed to provide state of the art high quality diagnostic services to our patients and referring physicians. Our facilities are equipped with high end, latest generation machines with cutting edge technology. This coupled with the highly qualified team of Doctors, skilled technicians, nurses and supporting staff provide exceptional patient care and services round the clock.
M.M. Institute of Medical Sciences and Research has one of the best equipped radiology departments - One 1.5T MRI, 128 slice MDCT, Seven Ultrasound machines, Six X-Ray units, three Image intensifiers, One Digital Mammography unit, and one Computed Radiography Unit.
The Achieva is a 1.5 Tesla 16 channels, latest generation MRI system providing exceptional image quality with shorter imaging time and maximum patient comfort. The MRI is loaded with all latest and advanced softwares for advanced imaging. Besides performing routine imaging of all body parts, both contrast and non- contrast angiography (Cerebral angiography, carotid angiography, renal angiography, peripheral angiography, and aortography) facilities are available. MR spectroscopy, Diffusion, Perfusion, Tractography softwares are also available for advanced neuroimaging.
Abdomen MRI, MRCP, Pelvis MRI, Breast MRI, and Musculoskeletal MRI are done with dedicated coils available with the system. Whole body MRI facility is also available for oncoimaging with special DWIBS sequence.
The Ingenuity is 128 slices CT scanner with tremendous clinical and research capabilities. The Ingenuity CT scan (Philips, Netherlands) machine is a high-end, 128-slice scanner.

- This latest 128 slice CT machine has a special role in Cardiac Angiography, since this investigation has been found to be a viable alternative to catheter angiography. Cardiac coronary Angiography has been found to be highly sensitive and specific non invasive modality in diagnosing coronary artery stenosis, stenosis in coronary stents and occluded coronary bypass grafts. Moreover radiation dose is very less and has advanced soft wares for arrhythmia corrections and high heart rates.
- Apart from all these medical radio diagnostic facilities, we also excel in advanced maxillofacial (dental) radio diagnosis which involves state of art DENTASCAN as well as CT and MRI of maxillofacial region and TM joints.
All ultrasound and Doppler facilities with 3D and 4D are available in the department. We have seven latest ultrasound machines by Philips and GE. Besides routine abdomen, pelvic and obstetric ultrasound; all types of Doppler, musculoskeletal, thyroid, testis, chest sonography are routinely performed. 4D sonography with latest HD-9 ultrasound is also available. Elastography, panaromic imaging like advanced ultrasound softwares are added advantages in sonography. CT and ultrasound guided interventions are also available.
Facilities for digital radiography, all special investigations, and digital mammography on latest machines are also done routinely in the department.
Apart from this, the department plays a very important and significant role in the overall health care delivery system and academic activities of the institution. It also provides platform for research activities and conduct various educational and research activities.
